I guide people through the legal issues that accompany family breakdown. I help people sort out their financial affairs (however complex and international) and arrangements for their children. I provide a personal service depending on the client’s needs and circumstances. I am Vice Chair of the Resolution Pensions, Tax & Financial Remedies Committee.
Having practised as a junior barrister for 10 years at leading family law chambers 1 Hare Court, appearing for HNW and UHNW clients in courts up and down the country before crossing over to become a Partner, I’ve been lucky to have had the highest quality grounding in this field.
Family breakdown is a stressful time, and without a trustworthy guide it can be a bit of a minefield. It can be a hard time to make good decisions. But I’ve seen first hand as a litigator the consequences of bad decisions (often based on well intentioned advice, whether from friends, therapists, even some lawyers). So I try to empower my clients with the legal and other information and support (and positive energy) they need to make great decisions for the future.
I offer a free introductory phone or video call.
I conduct private FDRs (settlement hearings where former spouses make arguments on how their finances should be resolved and get an early neutral evaluation from a specialist practitioner), and am a fully trained mediator with CEDR. I’m comfortable undertaking lawyer-led or guided mediations. I also represent clients as their lawyer in mediation (or silently advise in the background).
I’m expert in dealing with nuptial agreements (whether ‘prenups’ or ‘postnups’), whether domestic or international in nature. I work closely with colleagues in private client and internationally to ensure their effectiveness.
