Katy Harris

Katy Harris is a qualified, successful, knowledgeable and highly regarded Family and Civil Mediator, who brings considerable energy and compassion to her practices.

She works to resolve disputes through facilitative mediation, empowering clients and promoting a collaborative, rather than combative, approach. She is the founder of Mediation Matters Midlands and The London Mediation Company.

Katy conducts mediations on all issues, including children, finances and property. She has a comprehensive knowledge of family law and experience as a Child Development Consultant, allowing her to specialise in child and adolescent mental health and wellbeing and remain focused on the children in child arrangement cases.

Katy holds an Honours degree in Law. She has lectured and spoken to universities and charities on the subjects of child development, family breakdown and mediation. She has provided training opportunities to newly trained mediators, mentored students in the ADR ODR International Negotiation Competition and coaches on the ADR Masterclass at the Calkins Acedemy of Dispute Resolution in Iowa, United States.

Katy continues to promote mediation as an alternative dispute resolution and practice as a highly successful family and civil mediator, whilst enjoying opportunities to inspire, mentor and coach mediators, both in the UK and internationally.
