My experience, expertise and commitment to clients is externally recognised. I am a member of The Law Society’s Family Law Advanced Accreditation Scheme and a Resolution Accredited Specialist in both Complex Financial Remedies and Children Law. I have undertaken extensive, advanced specialist domestic abuse and safeguarding training. I have been recommended by the Legal 500 since 2017.
I know that any relationship breakdown, particularly if children are involved, is a difficult and stressful time for the whole family. I pride myself on listening to and understanding my clients’ needs, working with them at a pace which is comfortable for them.
I secure my clients’ future by creating solutions which will work for them in the long-term. I am clear and succinct in my communications, ensuring clients are kept fully up-to-date with how things are progressing.
I regularly advise parents, grandparents and other family members in relation to child arrangements, often involving serious safeguarding issues such as parental alienation, drug and alcohol misuse and domestic abuse. I have a particular interest in applications for children to be relocated, whether within England and Wales or abroad. This niche specialism has been recognised by the Legal 500, which describes me as “a pragmatic child relocation specialist”.
I am very experienced in advising on the financial implications of both entering and ending relationships. I can help protect the assets of high net worth individuals and find practical, positive solutions to help families stabilise their financial positions.
I am collaboratively trained and regularly use mediation and arbitration as alternative methods of dispute resolution. Wherever possible, I protect my clients from the emotional and financial cost of the ‘traditional’ court process. However, if court proceedings do become necessary, I have extensive experience to draw on to advise and support my clients throughout.
A dedicated member of Resolution, locally and nationally, I sit on three of their national committees as well as their local committee in Essex. I am committed to their code of practice and working in a constructive, non-confrontational manner. I am often invited to speak at national family law seminars and conferences.
